The Afreximbank Internship Programme 2026 offers paid internship opportunities to young African graduates and students, providing hands-on experience in international trade finance, banking, and economic development across Afreximbank’s offices in Africa. This program aims to build the next generation of African trade experts.
What You Receive
Monthly stipend of $1,000 (tax-free) for a full-time 6-month internship (January to June 2026).
Interns are placed at Afreximbank offices, including Cairo (Egypt HQ), Abidjan (Côte d’Ivoire), Harare (Zimbabwe), Johannesburg (South Africa), Lagos (Nigeria), or Maputo (Mozambique).
Professional training, mentorship, and networking in trade finance and development.
Who Can Apply / Eligibility
- African nationals aged 18 to 30 years.
- Bachelor’s degree holders, final-year Bachelor’s students, Master’s students, or those pursuing professional qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) from recognized universities.
- Strong academic record (official transcripts required).
- Fluency in spoken and written English and/or French (Afreximbank’s working languages).
- Available full-time for the entire 6 months starting 1st January 2026.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite.
